Experience
My work is currently focused on the improvement of POSTRE (https://github.com/vicsanga/Postre), a tool that I created during my PhD to predict the pathogenic effect of DNA Structural Variants.
During my PhD I worked on (i) Software development for understanding and predicting the consequences of DNA structural variants, (ii) Genomics of gene-enhancer regulation.
Internship at Zaugg Group in EMBL-Heidelberg to learn about gene regulatory networks and the analysis of single cell sequencing data.
During this time, I worked on omics data integration applying different statistical approaches (e.g. generalized linear models and partial least squares regression).
During this time, I learnt about protein sequence composition and its relationship with biological function or
subcellular location.
